The prefectural capital is Fukuoka.

Fukuoka Prefecture is surrounded by the sea in three directions. And there are also a mountain, a river, and a plain. Fukuoka Prefecture is the area blessed with nature.

Moreover, the quantity of production of a bamboo shoot is the 1st in Japan. The commercial center is Fukuoka. It is developed throughout Kyushu. The annual sales total of wholesale business is the 4th in Japan. It occupies 60.3% of whole Kyushu.
