The prefectural capital is Utsunomiya.

The nature of Tochigi Prefecture is divided into three. It is the mountain land of an eastern part, a mountain range of a northern part and a western part, and the central part.

Tochigi Prefecture is an industrial zone using rich water. Main agricultural products are a strawberry, a scallion, a rice, and milk. The quantity of production is Japanese top class.

Tochigi Prefecture is located in the metropolitan area, and metropolitan area agriculture, such as garden products, is prosperous in it. Main industries are the modern industry centering on Utsunomiya. It forms a part of north Kanto industry.
