Information on Tokushima Prefecture

The prefectural capital is Tokushima.

Tokushima Prefecture is located in the eastern part of shikoku. Tokushima Prefecture is in contact with the Pacific Ocean. The Tokushima plain is located in a northern part. It is geographical feature with much mountain land except it.

Since Tokushima Prefecture has rich nature, there is much quantity of production of agricultural products and marine products. And since Tokushima Prefecture and Honshu are connected with the bridge, many products are shipped.

The tourist resort in Tokushima Prefecture is popular. Especially Naruto Whirlpools and a hot spring are famous. Moreover, the outdoor sports which employed nature efficiently are also popular.
The festival of Tokushima Prefecture calls it an awa dance. This has 400 years of history and an awa dance will be performed in August. And about 1,300,000 persons gather from Japanese each area.
