Information on the Ishikawa prefecture


The prefectural capital is Kanazawa.

Ishikawa Prefecture is located in the central part of the Sea of Japan. And it is in contact with Toyama Prefecture, Gifu Prefecture, and Fukui Prefecture. North becomes the noto peninsula which projected to the Sea of Japan.
Many rivers are flowing through Ishikawa Prefecture. Especially the tedori river serves as a head of water service. Water is supplied to it to the noto peninsula with the pipe.

The kanazawa plain of the Ishikawa prefecture is a producing district of koshihikari. koshihikari is a brand leader of rice. In the sand hill, the sweet potato, the watermelon, the pear, and the grape are grown.
As for a fishing, many a yellowtail, a sardine, cuttlefish, horse mackerels, and oysters are caught.
Main industry is construction machinery and a textile machine. Especially a fiber industry is famous for fibers, such as nylon. It forms the place of production of world top class.
