Oita Prefecture is located in the east side of Kyushu. And there are many large plains. It is a nakatsu plain, an oita plain, and a saeki plain. Moreover, mountain land also exists mostly.
Oita Prefecture is a top-class hot-springs resort region also in the world. And the number of the fountainhead of a hot spring is the 1st in Japan. Especially a beppu hot spring and a yufuin hot spring are famous.
Agricultural products are famous for shiitake mushroom as a specialty. In particular, donko is a specialty article. donko is the thing which dried shiitake mushroom.
a marine product a seki scad and seki mackerel is famous. It is expensive. However, it is popular.
